    Cluster 7 Launch

    Friday, April 14, 2023 The successful launch of HawkEye Cluster 7 aboard the SpaceX Falcon 9 Rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California brings the Cluster 7 payload into orbit. The Cluster 7 trio further expands HawkEye 360’s constellation to 21 satellites with extended and improved data collection in the 15-18 GHz range, first introduced in Cluster 6 launched January 2023.

    Cluster 6 Launch

    Tuesday, January 24, 2023 The successful launch of HawkEye Cluster 6 aboard Rocket Lab’s Electron Rocket brings the Cluster 6 payload into orbit. This mission is the first lift-off from Launch Complex 2 at Virginia Space’s Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport within NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility. With the launch of Cluster 6 HawkEye now has 15 next-generation satellites on-orbit.

    Cluster 5 Launch

    Wednesday, May 25, 2022 The successful launch of HawkEye Cluster 5 aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 Rocket from Cape Canaveral brought similar advancements as Cluster 4 into orbit. The addition of Clusters 4 and 5 is enabling HawkEye 360 to double the amount of data being collected, improving coverage and revisit for critical regions of the earth.

    Friday, April 1, 2022 The successful launch of HawkEye Cluster 4 aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 Rocket from Cape Canaveral continues expansion of the most advanced commercial constellation for RF geospatial intelligence. The new satellites provide enhanced antenna functions for greater flexibility in detecting across a materially expanded range, which will double the constellation’s capacity for data collection, dramatically increasing the amount of data available to users.

    Cluster 3 Launch

    Wednesday, June 30, 2021 Cluster 3 launched, bringing the total number of satellites to nine. These satellites include redundant systems for longevity, increased computing for on-board signal processing, a dedicated GNSS antenna to monitor GPS interference, and enhancements to boost geolocation accuracy, RF frequency coverage and collection capacity. These advanced satellites will rapidly progress the field of space-based geoanalytics to feed the demand for this new and evolving dimension of knowledge by global decision makers.

    Monday, December 3, 2018 HawkEye 360’s first successful launch – the company’s Pathfinder mission — sent the first cluster of three, formation-flying small satellites — aboard Spaceflight’s SSO-A: SmallSat Express rideshare on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. The satellites will deliver a unique source of radio frequency (RF) data that HawkEye 360 will use to create first-of-its-kind RF-based analytics.
